A pocas semanas del cierre del ciclo lectivo 2023, los alumnos de Nivel Secundario presentaron “Night at the library”, nuestro tradicional concert anual. El tema elegido para este año, una noche en la biblioteca, recorrió distintos libros y cuentos elegidos por los chicos para representar en el Teatro de la Torre.
Durante los días previos a la presentación, los profesores de inglés de todas las asignaturas, y de manera interdisciplinaria, los acompañaron en el proceso de escribir los guiones, elegir el vestuario, las canciones y ensayar las coreografías. El objetivo de esta muestra es que los estudiantes puedan poner en práctica todos los conocimientos en lengua inglesa que estuvieron trabajando a lo largo del año y tengan la oportunidad de expresarse artísticamente.
Creemos que mediante el baile y la actuación, un espacio lúdico donde la espontaneidad y la imaginación se manifiestan sin inhibiciones, los chicos desarrollan su capacidad creativa, exteriorizan sus problemáticas poniendo el cuerpo y experimentan el trabajo en equipo, a la vez que demuestran sus habilidades bilingüísticas.
Felicitamos a nuestros alumnos por su compromiso en crear esta maravillosa producción teatral que ha dejado su huella en todas las personas que tuvimos el privilegio de disfrutarla. Han demostrado un gran entusiasmo y dedicación para poner en práctica todo lo aprendido en las clases de inglés durante el año.
Queremos destacar, además, el trabajo de la coordinación del departamento de inglés y todos los profesores que, con su esfuerzo diario, hicieron posible esta propuesta. A las familias, gracias por su invaluable acompañamiento y colaboración.

A few weeks before the end of the 2023 school year, the Secondary students presented «Night at the library», our traditional annual concert. This year’s theme gravitated around different books and stories chosen by the children to be performed at the Teatro de la Torre.
In the days leading up to the live performance, English teachers from all subjects, and in an interdisciplinary way, helped them in the process of writing the scripts, choosing the costumes and the songs and rehearsing the choreographies. The purpose of this showcase is for the students to be able to implement all the English language skills they have been working on throughout the year and to have the opportunity to express themselves artistically. We believe that through dance and theater, a playful space where spontaneity and imagination manifest without inhibitions, children develop their creative capacity, express their issues and concerns by using their bodies and experience teamwork, at the same time as demonstrating their bilingual skills.
We want to congratulate our students for their commitment in creating this wonderful theater production which has left its mark on everyone who had the privilege of enjoying it. They have shown great enthusiasm and dedication in putting into practice everything they have learnt in English lessons throughout the year. We would also like to highlight the work of the coordination of the English department and all the teachers who, with their daily effort, made this project possible. To the families, thank you for your invaluable support and collaboration.
